Downtown LA developers plan to break ground Tuesday on a three-building apartment complex, reported Los Angeles Downtown News.
The 440-unit project, dubbed The Avant, is being built by developer Century West Partners. The original plans called for construction of two seven-story buildings on two parking lots on South Figueroa and South Flower streets, but the $95 million project has been expanded to three, the news site reported.
An updated cost figure with the added building was not reported.
The first two buildings to be connected by a walkway are expected to be completed by the end of 2013.
